IWRM Capacity Building Workshop Held in Member States

The workshop for the promotion of IWRM in the member states of the Lake Chad Basin Commission was held in the Central African Republic, Niger, Chad, Cameroon and Nigeria. The workshop whose aim was to trained experts and decision-makers in the principles and the practical application of IWRM with references to best practices from Mali, Guinea and Burkina Fasso and Europe ends in Nigeria on the 13th July 2007.

During the workshop each group of country participants together with the facilitators developed a workplan for developing a National Action Plan using knowledge gotten from the workshop and the result of the TDA study completed in September 2006.
