IWC5 Innovation Marketplace Text 1

The Innovation Marketplace is the exhibit opportunity during the 5th GEF Biennial International Waters Conference. This booth/display area features exhibits highlighting project innovations, including unique approaches and outputs, with emphasis on how these innovations might be replicated. All breaks between sessions and the first two evenings will be held in the exhibit area to promote exploration, informal discussion and networking opportunities related to these innovations. To encourage lively demonstrations, an award for the best exhibit will be given. All GEF IW projects are encouraged to prepare an exhibt in the innovation marketplace.

Online Marketplace

Additionally, this year we would like to put as much of the Innovation Marketplace online as possible (and prior to the IWC5). Please visit www.iwlearn.net/iwc2007 for examples of how this might be done. Please submit PDF's of your posters and publications (and other materials) and send them to iwc5@iwlearn.org.

Shipping Materials to Cairns

Some of you may wish to ship materials to Cairns in advance of the conference.

The best place to send material is to the Cairns Convention Centre...however there is some bureaucracy involved and it is important to follow the directions in this file. Essentially you need to notify the Cairns Convention Centre via email (events@cairnsconvention.com.au) as in the file. Also in the file is a printout that should accompany the shipment. All of this will ensure that things dont get lost. Please send as soon as possible to make sure it gets there...

The shipping address btw is:
Cairns Convention Centre
Cnr Wharf & Sheridan Streets
CAIRNS QLD 4870
Australia
