    >Water Advocates is a small but influential nonprofit advocacy and lobbying
    >group in Washington DC (DuPont Circle area) dedicated to the global safe
    >drinking water and sanitation challenge.  Water Advocates is seeking a
    >full/time part/time paid intern (pref. senior or grad student) to assist
    >with a wide range of projects that support our advocacy, lobbying and
    >research efforts.
    >
    >Duties and responsibilities:
    >
    >•       Assist in the development and execution of outreach plans and events
    >that support our objectives.
    >
    >•       Research corporations, private foundations, U.S. government, civic
    >and
    >faith-based organizations to determine their interest in the global safe
    >drinking water issue.  Research US non-governmental organizations and
    >maintain database.
    >
    >•       Research publications and journalists; monitor/clip media; maintain
    >and
    >expand the media library; contribute to monthly newsletters, and media
    >outreach.
    >
    >•       Administrative tasks and other duties as assigned.
    >
    >The position requires eagerness to participate in staff discussions,
    >ability to take direction and constructive criticism, and ability to think
    >and digest information quickly.  Intern will assist Water Advocates’ four
    >staff members as needed, and will ideally have a knowledge and
    >understanding of the global water and sanitation challenge.  Our website

    >Hours are expected to be 40/week during the summer, with 15-17/week
