Expert for Integrated Water Management (Welthungerhilfe - German Agro Action)
As an expert in the field, the expert is responsible for managing the project "Integrated Water Management". The expert will support the target groups with the social and technical management of their irrigation structures (Application Deadline: 3 June 2009).
Duties and Responsibilities
- devise concepts, among other things, for the development of water utilisation plans based on project plans
- identify key communities and carry out capacity building measures in water utili-sation groups and with government employees
- prepare appropriate planning documents for project follow-up phases
- In agreement with CONCERN (project partner CONCERN is responsible
for the execution of the project), you will ensure that material
resources are correctly planned and purchased
Qualifications
- a university or technical college degree or several years’ professional project-related experience, preferably in the field of water resource management, agricultural development or resource management
- several years’ project experience in working within co-financed projects of international (aid) organisations, preferably in the region
- coordination and organisational skills even under difficult local conditions
- ability in intercultural communication
- a very good knowledge of both spoken and written English
