Fisheries/Coastal Resource Management Specialists (USAID project, Indonesia)

ARD, Inc. (http://www.ardinc.com) is accepting expressions of interest from qualified candidates for an anticipated multi-year USAID project in Indonesia dealing with coastal and fisheries resources management ARD is seeking candidates for potential long-term and short-term opportunities in various locations throughout Indonesia (30 June 2009).

Qualifications:

Qualified candidates will have expertise in one or more of the technical skills outlined below:
  • Fisheries and marine institutional development, including development of extension services and improved regulation
  • Marine protected areas legal establishment and management
  • Fisheries and coastal resources management using an ecosystem-based approach
  • Marine and fisheries policy
  • Community-based coastal resources management and alternative livelihoods
  • Information, education, communications and outreach
  • Environmental and public health

Minimum 5 years management experience on development projects that involve coastal resources management;

Demonstrated capability to work effectively with senior Indonesian officials;

Excellent administrative, management, and reporting skills;

Fluency in English required, fluency in Bahasa strongly preferred.
