NUTRIENT SENSITIVE ZONES - Nitrogen and Phosphorus, Lakes and Waterways
The Symposium Programme covers two days and explores themes of European and New Zealand Perspectives; Why we need to focus on Nutrients; New Zealand Environmental Policy and Law; Farmers and the protection of Nutrient Sensitive Zones; Solutions and Mindset; Economics, Markets and Change.

The Symposium will use current scientific knowledge about nutrients and lakes, along with proposed freshwater management policy to examine how farming and ecology can be balanced.
European and New Zealand perspectives on nutrient management, the dairying perspective, policy proposals and the national and regional economic effects of change provide the framework for presentations and discussions.
