- IW:LEARN Plone Guidelines: redirecting a URL in Plone. These guidelines provide a method for redirecting a URL in Plone. The need for this method arose out of the difficulty in upgrading from a website built with Plone-2.0.5 to 2.5.1, where an existing 'plone' folder could not be duplicated in version 2.5.1 as 'plone' was a reserved word. The solution to this was provided by Christian Ledermann (UNEP, Nairobi) and is copied below:
