Responsibilities:

Together with other colleagues, the specialists update the content of the Global Groundwater Information System, maintain the underlying databases and custom-made portals, and oversee further software development. The duties also include organising, conducting and follow-up of meetings and workshops in various parts of the World.

Groundwater specialists participate in preparation and implementation of IGRAC core activities and external projects, including regional/global assessment of groundwater resources, regional/global groundwater monitoring programme and capacity building (e.g. on groundwater information management, groundwater governance and management of aquifer recharge).
