The proposed objective of the Mediterranean Environmental Sustainable Development Program (“Sustainable MED”) is to "enhance and accelerate the implementation of transboundary pollution reduction, improved water resources mnmagement, and biodiversity conservation measures in priority hotspots and sensitive areas of selected countries of the Mediterranean basin that would help achieve the Strategic Action Plans‟ (SAP MED and SAP BIO) targets"3.
