LAKE TANGANYIKA MANAGEMENT PLANNING PROJECT (LTMPP)

Lake Tanganyika is exceptionally old. It was formed about 12 million years ago and some sediments date back twice this period. Four riparian countries share the Lake: Burundi; the Democratic Republic of Congo; Tanzania; and Zambia.
