Danube River Basin Strategy for Public Participation in River Basin Management Planning 2003-2009

This document should provide background and guidance for the public participation activities in the Danube River Basin in River Basin Management Planning. The Strategy is based on the implementation timetable of the WFD and the activities are based on the requirements of this Directive. It is intended to compliment and assist national actions by providing a coherent framework with links to the international levels on one hand, and by offering a strategic approach to organising actions – with possible implications for securing funding – on the other hand.
