Following the adoption of the Sustainable Development Strategy for the Seas of East Asia (SDS-SEA) at Putrajaya, Malaysia, last December 2003, representatives from PEMSEA participating countries and international organizations met in Manila from 23-27 August to develop and recommend a plan on how to implement the SDS-SEA.
