The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations was founded in 1945 with a mandate to raise levels of nutrition and standards of living, to improve agricultural productivity, and to better the condition of rural populations.
The Ministry of Environmental Conservation and Forestry is a ministry in the Burmese government responsible for the country's forestry and logging sectors. From 1948 to 5 March 1992, the Ministry was joined with the Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation as the Ministry of Agriculture and Forests.
Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation is the ministry which was composed with two former ministries, Ministry of Livestock, Fisheries and Rural Development, Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation and Ministry of Cooperatives.
