The Costa Rican Institute of Fisheries and Aquaculture is an autonomous Costa Rican institution that regulates fishing activities and their relationship with the environment. It was created when Law No. 7384 was promulgated on March 16, 1994. It is based in the province of Puntarenas, which is eminently fishing.
