3.2 - Start-Up Phase
This section is divided into the main phases of projects:
- Project Start-Up (usually the first few months prior to an established PCU);
- Project Inception Phase
- Project Implementation
- Project Closure
Following the check-list a brief introduction to each subject is presented. Where of specific relevance to GEF IW project activities these are expanded further in Parts 3 and through the case studies and other relevant material presented in Part 4.
Project Start-up
Key actions that are needed and responsible parties following CEO signature to the project and delegation of authority (Projects/Executing Agencies should obtain confirmation from the GEF Agency prior to incurring any costs that are to be reimbursed) include:
