INTERNATIONAL WATERS LEARNING EXCHANGE & RESOURCE NETWORK

IW:LEARN

MANAGEMENT CAPACITY BUILDING

LME:LEARN encourages capacity development and South-to-South / North-to-South exchanges through twinning and learning exchanges, workshops and training among LMEs and similar initiatives.

TRAINING
Training are technical workshops developed and delivered to address common capacity building needs for groups of GEF LME/ICM/MPA projects staff, practitioners and their partners, with a focus on priority governance and management challenges, including climate variability and change.

TWINNING – PROJECT-TO-PROJECT LEARNING EXCHANGES
Twinning is a scheme by which two projects contribute resources to mobilize personnel, expertise and mutually share their experiences. Whether they are multi-project workshops or single-project study tours, exchanges promote peer learning and South-to-South / North-to-South cooperation. Experience Notes that may be produced as outcomes are of great value to other LME projects.
