National Fisheries Institute (INAPESCA), Mexico

INAPESCA is currently a decentralized public body, sectorized with the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (SADER). The National Institute of Fisheries and Aquaculture is the only Mexican fisheries and aquaculture research institution with national coverage in permanent contact with the fisheries and aquaculture sector, its development and administration problems. The work carried out as part of the principle of responsible fishing, provides the fisheries and aquaculture authority with solid scientific bases, with reliable data to preserve order and develop fisheries and contribute to the care of biodiversity, ecosystems and habitat water.
