Ministry of Fisheries & Water Resources, Gambia
The department is responsible for overseeing the fisheries sector of the Gambia. It was established to provide greater focus on this sector to enable the country to derive maximum benefit from its fish resources.
It also has the mandate to carry out meteorological functions as well as hydrological, water quality and rural water supply functions.
