ACZM-Project concept

The proposed project is consistent with and will contribute to the ground implementation of the goals of the Strategic Action Programme (SAP) for the Mediterranean Sea in Egypt. The pollution discharge from land-based sources in the “hot spot” areas of Alexandria and El-Mex Bay, Egypt, will be addressed by targeted investments for pollution reduction, new financing mechanisms and local coastal management bodies, and technology transfer.
