Ministry of Environment (MINAM) of Peru
The objectives of MINAM are the product of consensus. Were discussed and approved by a renewed Multisectoral Commission (created by Supreme Resolution No. 189-2012-PCM ) in which the ministers of Agriculture, Culture, Energy and Mines participated; Economy and Finance; Health; Production; Development and Social Inclusion; Environment and the President of the Council of Ministers in order to strengthen the trust of citizens in relation to the role of the state in environmental protection, sustainable management of natural resources and the conservation of species and ecosystems. Therefore approved the strategic axes of environmental management , four aspects that define the full and gradual incorporation of the environmental dimension in public policies.
- Implementation of the Strategic Action Programmes and the National Strategic Action Plans for the Integrated Water Resources Management in the Puyango-Tumbes, Catamayo-Chira and Zarumilla Transboundary Aquifers and River Basins
- Catalysing Implementation of a Strategic Action Programme for the Sustainable Management of Shared Living Marine Resources in the Humboldt Current System (HCS)
- Integrated Water Resources Management in the Titicaca-Desaguadero-Poopo-Salar de Coipasa (TDPS) System
