Food and Agricultural Organization of the United Nations (FAO)

The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations was founded in 1945 with a mandate to raise levels of nutrition and standards of living, to improve agricultural productivity, and to better the condition of rural populations.

Asian Development Bank (ADB)

ADB was conceived amid the postwar rehabilitation and reconstruction of the early 1960s. The vision was of a financial institution that would be Asian in character and foster economic growth and cooperation in the region - then one of the poorest in the world. The Philippines capital of Manila was chosen to host the new institution - the Asian Development Bank - which opened its doors on 19 December 1966, with 31 members to serve a predominantly agricultural region. Through the years, ADB's work and assistance levels has expanded alongside its membership as the region has undergone far-reaching changes.

To provide leadership and encourage partnership in caring for the environment by inspiring, informing, and enabling nations and peoples to improve their quality of life without compromising that of future generations.

United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO)

Its mission is to help countries pursue sustainable industrial development. economic development improves tax revenues and makes it possible for governments to achieve lasting social advance and poverty alleviation.

Bay of Bengal Inter-Governemental Organization (BOBP-IGO)

The Bay of Bengal Programme (BOBP) is an Inter-Governmental Organisation mandated to enhance cooperation among member countries, other countries and organisations in the region and provide technical and management advisory services for sustainable coastal fisheries development and management in the Bay of Bengal region.

Southeast Asian Fisheries Development Centre (SEAFDEC)

The Southeast Asian Fisheries Development Center (SEAFDEC) is an autonomous inter-governmental body established in 1967. The mission of SEAFDEC considered and adopted by the Special Meeting of the SEAFDEC Council 2017 is “To promote and facilitate concerted actions among the Member Countries to ensure the sustainability of fisheries and aquaculture in Southeast Asia.”

Asia-Pacific Fishery Commission (APFIC)

The Asia-Pacific Fishery Commission (APFIC), originally called the Indo-Pacific Fisheries Council (IPFC) is a Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) Article XIV Regional Fisheries Body which covers fisheries, aquaculture and related aquatic resource issues in the Asia-Pacific region.
